I’m Jeff Kropp and we’re the Home Buyer Agents. Today we’re going to talk about what to do after you’ve found the home for you. When you’ve been to a home a couple times and it’s a winner and has that wow factor, you’ll ask your agent “what do we do next?” Obviously, you’re going to want to write some kind of offer. Your agent will help you prepare that paperwork.
Before you do that, you’ll need to know what to offer. In order to know what to offer, your agent is going to help you look at recent sales in the neighborhood of similar properties. Typically that have sole within the last six months. Your agent will put those properties into a report called a CMA and you’ll look those properties over.
Talk with your agent to come up with an initial offer price and maybe a price above witch you don’t want to go during negotiations. So you’ll come up with a range between the initial offer and final offer. Then your agent will help you prepare your offer and communicate that to the seller. That’s what happens when you find a property.
