After you’ve made a list of homes that you are interested in, you will want to visit them in person. When you visit a home in person it is called a showing. You should choose 5 properties at most that you would be interested in seeing on any given day. If you see more than 5, it will be difficult to remember the details for each property.
Attending Home Showings
When you attend home showings you will want to document each property on your list. . Things like notes, measurements and pictures can help you recall specific attributes of each home and compare them to one another.
Some suggestions might be:
- Note pad and pencil
- Digital camera
- Tape measure
- Maps
After seeing a bunch of homes, you should draw some conclusions before advancing in your search. Did you see a “gem” you would like to see again? Do you need to reset your expectations? Let your agent know how how you feel about the properties that you saw.
